COMMUNITY BASED/IN-HOME SERVICES
NAFI/NFI provides child welfare programs for infants, latency-aged children and adolescents. These programs serve children who have been abused or neglected in a family setting. NAFI/NFI provides comprehensive services to families and children who are facing issues associated with domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health, and the effects of other trauma. Our emergency shelters, foster care, group homes, tracking, and innovative wraparound services assist youth who are experiencing out-of-home placement due to abuse, neglect, or a crisis within the family. Our programs provide empathetic, professional childcare, and develop and maintain a routine of daily activities. The children receive assessment services, significant levels of structure and supervision, and care coordination related to family reunification, or placement in a congregate care setting, as appropriate. The goals of these programs are to minimize disruptive episodes, absences from school, and lengthy out-of-home placements, and maximize the use of less restrictive, community-based care.
